The Collection: Ókwùmà

Ókwùmà is a story of the African complexion and culture told through strings of yarn. Ókwùmà is Igbo for "shea butter." Every African needs shea butter. The story is told using the different shades of brown, ivory, carton, caramel, clay, chocolate, and coffee to complement every skin tone. When it comes to the names of each piece, I let my heart travel to the different African countries I've been to and chose names that reflect their culture and people.
